Valerie L. May, a Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, New York, PA immigration lawyer, graduated from both Chatham College and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law with honors. She was a member of the University of Pittsburgh Law Review and interned for the United States Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Attorney May founded May Law Group, LLC, in 2003 and it has grown to be an internationally recognized United States immigration law firm, noted for the quality of its work and dedication to finding immigration solutions for the most difficult immigration problems. Attorney Colleen E. Taylor attended Pennsylvania State University's Schreyer Honors College. She graduated with a B.A. in Advertising-Public Relations with distinction and with honors in Media Studies. She is also a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the school's Journal of Technology Law & Policy.

During law school, Attorney Taylor clerked in the chambers of the Honorable Robert E. Colville on the Superior Court of Pennsylvania. She joined May Law Group, LLC, as a law clerk while attending law school. During her time at May Law Group, she has gained extensive experience in non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions, as well as complex naturalization applications.

Attorney Nicholas J. Botta graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he specialized in international law and received numerous honors such as the Thomas M. Cooley II Legal Writing Award, the Dean's Scholarship, and the Center for International Legal Education Fellowship. Attorney Botta graduated from the International Law Study Abroad Program in Madrid, Spain, through the College of William & Mary School of Law. Before this, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology, magna cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh.

Attorney Botta interned with the Honorable Terrence F. McVerry in the Federal District Court of the Western District of Pennsylvania, where he researched and drafted many legal opinions on a variety of subjects. As an intern with the American Civil Liberties Union, Attorney Botta researched civil rights and First Amendment issues and drafted civil litigation complaints, new matter, briefs, memoranda, motions, and correspondence. Prior to joining the May Law Group, Attorney Botta worked at a general practice law firm in Pittsburgh.

Aside from his work at the May Law Group, Attorney Botta volunteers his international legal expertise at Building New Hope, a volunteer-driven nonprofit organization based in Pittsburgh and Granada, Nicaragua, that supports grassroots development projects in Central America. Attorney Botta's projects include legal concerns of the organic coffee industry, operating career training centers, creating alternative schools and literacy programs for underserved and at-risk youth, and the funding of income-generating projects for underprivileged women.

Attorney Mark Harley received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, magna cum laude, from Geneva College and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Akron School of Law in 2004. While in law school, Attorney Harley clerked for Justice Tawia Modibo Ocran, Supreme Court Justice of Ghana and Professor of International Law at the University of Akron. During law school, Attorney Harley focused primarily on international law.

Attorney Harley was admitted to the Bar of the State of Pennsylvania in 2004. Before joining May Law Group, Attorney Harley served as Constituent Service Representative on the staff of United States Congresswoman Melissa Hart, where he focused on matters concerning immigration and national security. In addition, Attorney Harley has considerable experience addressing complex immigration law. He worked for three years as an immigration attorney at a law firm in Pittsburgh, focusing largely on family, business, and naturalization cases.

He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Allegheny County Bar Association, and Beaver County Bar Association. Attorney Harley has served as Secretary for the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and as District Coordinator for the 2007 and 2008 AILA Lobby Days. He is currently Treasurer of the Pittsburgh Chapter of AILA.
